The Playing 4 Soft Skills project is built on the expertise of partner organisations working in the field of non-formal education, creative learning, digital technology and innovative thinking in order to involve students both as participants and feedback providers and teachers in the role of facilitators.
There are various partners who work and collaborate on the project, coming from 5 European countries: Germany, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Poland.
Rīgas Tūrisma un radošās industrijas tehnikums ( RTRIT) is one of the partners of the project “Playing for Soft Skills”
Together with the project consortium from Europe, RTRIT conducted a survey in Latvian Vocational Education institutions, surveying students, teachers, and industry employers, the leaders of their fields on key soft skills competences to find out their views and thoughts on the need for these skills thus identifying the most essential soft skills as the research outcome.
Currently, RTRIT is actively involved in the development of the soft skills board game and support function in the development of other intellectual outcomes. In result of which very soon, the P4SS project team can offer to all involved partner schools and other vocational education institutions in the partner countries to start of use all educational elements produced by project.
RTRIT in Latvia plans to use the board game and other intellectual outcomes as a material of developing the most essential soft skills of our students and teachers.
One of the main focuses of the project, which RTRIT is currently working on in its technical school, is the selection of attractive young people and teachers to take part in a learning activity at a partner organization in Malaga, Spain – Escuela de Arte San Telmo Málaga.
